Our sister Zouhoura was raped by six men in Tchad last week, perpetrators let free by police: Please help us spread the word to demonstrate against this injustice – demonstration in Berlin next Saturday 19.2.2016
we are writing to you today because we are in deep sorrow and anger about what happened to our sister Zouhoura in N’Djamena, Tchad, last week, on 16 February. She got raped by five or six men, who filmed their crime to put it in the internet. Our sympathy is with her and her family. Her perpetrators are all sons of high authorities, like generals or the minister of foreign affairs, which means that their „trial“ happened behind closed doors and they will most likley not face any consequences. Against this outrageous additional injustice many many people are going to the streets in Tchad since yesterday. But the authorities don’t want to accept the demonstrations and are now even going against the demonstrators. Zouhoura was forced by authorities to speak against the demonstrators in front of the camera, saying everything would be all right. But the moment she was back home she published her real opinion, saying that the rape really happened and that the people should please continue to demonstrate.
We, the Chad Youth in Germany, want to support Zouhoura, her family and all the fellow demonstrators with all our means and will organize a demonstration in Berlin, Germany, for this following Saturday, 20 February 2016. We ask you to please support Zouhoura and us by spreading this information amongst your contacts and mobilize as many people as possible to join us in the demonstration to fight for justice and for a real trial and conviction of the perpetrators.
